The end of January or the start of February is the coolest, so unfriendly for the majority of the tourists. The temperature at night goes down to near freezing point. So elderly people are to be cautious at this time. Always prefer accommodation with high insulation. So this time is not the ideal time to visit Darjeeling for them.

Be sure to carry with you jackets, gloves, mufflers, socks and boots. Woolen thermal innerwear and monkey caps are a must this season. In addition, choose a hotel with a proper insulation wall and electric wrappers.
