What to see in Eagleβs Crag?
The road next to Kalimpong station of Kurseong connected to the Ramakrishna Vedanta Ashram, leads towards Viewpoint Eagle’s Crag, which is the endpoint of the town and the highest point of the region. Eagle’s Crag has a beautiful landscaped garden. This is written in large letters above the gate.
A small cafeteria and two reservoirs to supply water to Kurseong town. Climb to the top of the watch tower and you will get a wonderful view of the surrounding hills, valleys, distant Siliguri city, and Mount Kanchenjunga.
Tea gardens and plains below from this viewpoint can be seen. That is why the sky must be cloudless and clear. Normally it is rare to find a cloudless sky in Kurseong but this cloudy Kurseong has a distinct beauty. But many may not like it
Balasan and Mechi rivers far below Eagle viewpoint can be seen from here. Nepal is the other side of river Mechi
Kurseong market is very good. There are some old bakeries and new noodle shops. From there you can bring homemade noodles for home
