How to reach Sitong West Bengal?

To reach Sittong, visit the nearest railway station, New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri. From there, you can rent a car or take a shared vehicle to reach Sittong. The car fare from New Jalpaiguri to Sitong is Rs 2500 to 2700

On The Way to Sittong

Get off the train early at New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri stations. Then, drive out to Sitong West Bengal. On the way, have breakfast from any shop along Sevok Road. Cross Birik to Chuchedunga, Namthing Pokhri, and straight to Sittong.

In the evening, the villages’ lights on the hills’ slopes look like bonfires. The temperature in Sittong remains pleasant throughout the year but February to May and October to November are the best time to visit here.

There is little to do in these offbeat hill villages after dusk. A bonfire can be done in front of the homestay in the evening. If you tell the homestay’s owner, he will arrange this for some money. All homestays here are charged per day per head. And the food menu remains almost the same. At night, eat rice, bread or chicken and go to sleep.

Lepcha falls
The next destination is Lepcha Falls. You have to leave the car on the hilly road in the forest and walk a little way up. Seeing the waterfall will make you forget the trouble of climbing this mountain road.
Ahaldara View Point
Then, visit Ahladara viewpointβa spectacular viewpoint on top of the hill, with mountains all around and the Teesta River below. The beauty of this place cannot be described in words. It is difficult to stand here in the cold weather during winter. There is also a lot of accommodation in Ahaldara
