How to reach Langurdang?
To reach this village first you need to go to Siliguri or New Jalpaiguri station. You can book a car from there or call the homestay directly and bring the car from there.
The distance of this homestay from Siliguri is 95 km and the distance from Darjeeling is 35 km. The distance from Bijanbari is 10 km and the distance from Rellli is 5 km.
There are various roads to reach this hill village like Darjeeling to Jambuni via Langur dang. Jorthang to Langur dang via Bijonbari. Mirik and Dhotrey are also accessible.
On the way to Langurdang:
Will a car come to the homestay to pick you up if you want? Relling will fall on the way. West Sikkim and Mirik can be reached from here. After a little further, the hill that can be seen in the distance is Darjeeling. And the hill in front of it is Sikkim.
Car fare:
Rent a car from Darjeeling for 3000 rupees but if the homestay arranges to take them from the station, then it will be less.
What to see in Langurdang?
Unforgettable Views:
Sitting on the homestay balcony and looking at the mountains all day, you will never know how the time will pass. In the afternoon you can explore the whole village on foot.
Trekking and Hiking Paradise:
Moving forward, a forest falls and Dhotrey has to go through it. This village can be reached by trekking for just two hours. And Red Panda can be seen in Singalira National Park.
From here you can see Birgaon waterfalls, whose height is about 200 feet. There is a playground in the village. From here the homestay owners make treks to Sandakphu and other places.
Kanchenjunga can be seen from here, which has different colors at different times. It takes on a dark orange color during sunset.
There is a local school in the middle of nature. There is the oldest Narayan temple here. There were many items in the temple which were stolen.
In the evening when the lights of Darjeeling hills come on, it’s a different feeling. There is a shop down the road at Homestay. Daily necessary things are available there.

This is a new homestay at a new location in Darjeeling. The kitchen of the homestay is very clean and the food is also available here. Nature can be enjoyed just by opening the window.
Two large rooms can comfortably accommodate four people with each room having its own washroom. There is a system of Gayser. The homestay has its pond. Vegetable cultivation covers a large area. Everything you eat here is organically grown.
What to do at Langurdang?
In the evening you can enjoy a barbecue or bonfire. Or you can have fish from their local pond on the night menu. They have cows. Make tea and curd with that cow’s milk. There are beekeeping and orange trees in the garden of the homestay
Moreover, the owner goes to another place in the morning to supply milk. Get up between 4:30 and then see Kanchenjunga if the sky is clear. You will never feel so good without any noise in pure nature.
Even if it is a little difficult to get up in the morning, the indescribable beauty of Kanchenjunga and the calls of unknown birds will impress you.
Sightseeing at Langurdang
Dhotrey, Kanchenjubgha, Tea Garden, Red Panda forest, Rangit river, waterfalls, Dumba, Falut, Sandakfu, Bijanbari, Tunglu, Mirik, Manebhanjan, Sukiapakhri, Pasupati, Rangeet River,
Bhiragaow Waterfall, Dumba etc. There is a beautiful Shiva temple in Jamboni next to the Rangeet River. Don’t forget to watch it.
