Munsong is a developing tourist location. There are many tourist attractions in and around Munsong like Ichhegaon, Sillery Gaon, and Ramedhura. All are offbeat destinations. They are not too far from each other.
They are all on the slope of a large hill. Also, Kalimpong is on the same hill. This slope goes down to the Teesta. From Munsong Teesta Valley as well as Kanchenjunga Can be Seen Simultaneously. You have to book a cab for sightseeing. There are lots of things to see around. Here is a list…

What to Do At Munsong?
- A full 2/3 day can be easily spent here, where nature will surprise you with the exquisite beauty of Teesta and see around 12 bends of the river between Sikkim and West Bengal.
- From Munsong the entire city of Rangpo and the newly built bridge are visible.
- The main attraction here is a viewpoint a little downwards, about 50-60 steps down. You will be amazed to see peacocks and many birds roaming around here.
- Go trekking in the nearest villages and get involved in their daily activities and sports. By trekking you can reach nearby places like Sillery Gaon and Ramdhura.

The best time to visit Munsong View Point is from March to May and September to November.

How to Reach Munsong, Kalimpong
The nearest airport to Munsong View Point is Bagdogra at a distance of 102 km. The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri Jn or Siliguri. From these stations, you can book a cab to Munsong via Kalimpong.
It will take 3.5-4 hours from NJP by private cab, but it can also be reached by shared cab, first reach Rongpo and from there they will pick up a homestay car if they ask for it.
