How to reach Yogi Ghat?

First, reach New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri station by train. The distance of Jogighat to Siliguri is about 56 km and its distance from New Jalpaiguri station is about 60 km.

You can reach here by hiring a car from New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri. The fare to reach Yogighat by car from New Jalpaiguri is Rs.3500.

Jogighat Bridge is one of the attractions of Jogighat. The old wooden bridge is next to the new iron bridge. On the bridge, you will see a river flowing by itself. Take some pictures and leave the bridge.

The river on which the bridge of Yogi Ghat is called Riyang, there is a road on the side where you can go down to the river.

You can spend quite some time sitting on the rocks by the river. Also, those who live in or around Siliguri visit this place for picnics. Many also bathe in this river.

Lepcha Water Falls

To see Lepcha Waterfalls you have to enter into the jungle. There is no paved road directly leading to this place so one can reach this place only by trekking through the jungle. The place is full of natural beauty.

A short distance away from Yogi Ghat, there is a house with the memory of Rabindranath Tagore at Mongpu. Many things used by “Kabiguru” are kept here.

Most of the Darjeeling oranges are available from this Sittong. Oranges are available here from after Durga Puja to January. You can enter the orchard with the permission of the orchard owner and buy lemons for money. However, the price is not low.
